The University Library has laptops for students to check out for a week at a time. They are not renewable, but upon return another may be checked out if available. Stop in to your campus Library and check one out today.
We can assist you with finding articles, books, using the databases, or answer general library questions. Library Chat will be staffed and available for use from 9 am to 5 pm, Monday through Friday. You can find a chat box on the Library homepage.
Interlibrary Loan is a free service for all current PNW students, staff, and faculty. You can borrow books, DVDs, microfilm, etc. and/or receive photocopies of documents that are owned by another library in the United States.
If we do not own the items you need for your research, we invite you to use this service. It’s a one time setup and you can use this service for the duration of your time here at Purdue University Northwest.
The University Library has a binding machine at both locations. With this machine you can spiral bind your papers. This is another one of our free services to our patrons. This would be great for these syllabus and PowerPoints you need to keep for the semester. Stop up and check it out. If you need assistance, our library staff is here to help.
Have you seen these boxes around campus? Have you wondered what they are for?”
These boxes are for collecting unwanted books/textbooks in support of non-profit literacy programs. This program finds the best possible use for each book collected in support of promoting literacy. The donated books in the boxes are then collected by the Library staff. From there we send them to, Better World Books, located in Mishawaka, Indiana.
Inter-Campus Transfer is a free service the PNW Library provide to all students, faculty, and staff. If you need material from either campus, instead of driving or taking the bus, you can request the library materials from any computer and we will take care of the rest.
The University Library has two Simple Scan stations on each campus. You can easily scan your work to USB, Smartphone, One Drive, Google Docs or Email.
Hey, Professor! Did you know you have the option to leave your course materials at the Library’s Public Service Desk for students to use? Well, it’s true! Both campuses provide this service, and it is free for all university instructors to use. This service is called Course Reserves.
Happy 2019 and Welcome back to campus!!! I trust that you all had a restful couple of weeks and are ready to hit the ground running and rock this New Year and semester. We are happy to be here and want to fill this month’s newsletter with reminders of all the services that we offer, and the technology that we have in case you have forgotten, or never knew we had.
